Sponsored by the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Korea and Korea Rural Community Corporation, G-20 WWOOF Program will be launched from July 28 providing opportunities for WWOOFing & Cultural experience for foreign visitors in celebration of G-20 Summit scheduled to be held in Seoul in Nov 2010.


_ Period


August–December 2010 (Approximately Up to 20 weeks / Departing each week)

The program starts from July 28, 2010 and continues to depart every WEDNESDAY except the fact that those who want to wwoof in Oeam village leave every SATURDAY due to lodging.

_ Eligible participants : Foreigners visiting or residing in Korea


_ Volume of recruitment : 20 people per week (4 groups of 5 people)


20 candidates will be divided into 4 different groups according to the choice of host villages and every group will include one English-speaking Korean volunteer for better communication.


_ Location 


1 day cultural experience in Bukchon, Seoul    +    WWOOFing in host villages of your choice

You can choose where to wwoof among 4 different host villages : Handemy, Naetgang, Sweet and Oeam village. For more detailed information about the host villages, please click the name of each village on the left side. Note that it is based on first come, first served!!

Afternoon ( Venue : Bukchon, Sepul ) 


¢Á Walking tour in Hanok (traditional Korean house) Village 
    : conducted by cultural tour guides (English and Japanese)
¢Á Tdeok (Rice Cake) Museum tour 
    & Hanbok (traditional Korean costume) experience Korean food cooking experience for dinner
    : Cooking Kimchi, Bulgogi, etc. with help of instructors or assistant instructors

>> One-night homestay lodging in a traditional Korean house.  






Morning ( Venue : Transfer ) 

¢Á After breakfast, transfer to WWOOF host Villages
   : Provided with simple Korean or continental breakfast 
   : Use public transportation such as buses and trains(Individual groups will travel by different transport) 
   : Quick lunch on the way 

Afternoon ( Venue : WWOOF Host Village ) 


¢Á Arrive at the village and greeted warmly by villagers.
   : Hosts will show you around the village shortly and take you to a place you'll stay   
   : Unpack your belongings and take some rest
   : Get yourself ready and try to work for 1-2 hours    
* Meals and lodging all provided by the host Villages



Full day ( Venue : Host Village ) 


¢Á WWOOF Experience for 4 days
   : Work about 5 to 7 hours per day plus enjoy activities Get your hands dirty working with villagers with  lots of different tasks and harvesting a variety of fruits and crops Experience various unique & interesting activities and hands-on programs that each village is offering  
   : Work and experience details subject to change depending on the villages, weather conditions and seasons.





Full day ( Venue : Tour in Neighboring Areas ) 


¢Á Offered with a full-day tour around the neighboring tourist attractions
   (Hot springs, temples, pleasure-boat, historic sites, preserved areas or rafting and etc.)
* Individual wwoofing to other host farms is recommended and can be arranged by wwoof korea upon request
